If it just breaks into the low 20k range, could be a winner.

Honestly, I wouldn't pay more than $18,000-$19,000, since 305 hp Mustang starts at $22,500.
Ford was able to price EcoBoost just $1,800 (I believe) over the base engine in F-150; I don't see why they can't do the same thing with Fiesta.

Three letters - "SVT". Any Ford Fiesta hot hatch would be more than simply putting a boosted motor under the hood and calling it a day no matter which market it will be offered. Just so happens "SVT" has resonance in the US market - IIRC, the SVT Contour and SVT Focus had their origins in European Ford products. A Fiesta ST/SVT or whatever they call it here would fill the role of the last SVT Focus at roughly the same price considering the price for all new cars has gone up over the years. That would also leave a possible US-bound Focus ST/RS free to move upmarket, hunting VW GTIs, Mazdaspeed 3s and lesser versions of the Impreza WRX/Lancer Ralliart.

I agree, $22.5k and below or BUST.......perhaps we'll see this released when the Fiesta is due for a face lift in 2013......?....
