If Ford was in better financial shape, the GR-1 may have gotten the greenlight, since its essentially the Ford GT chassis. But in their present time, Brad's right. Not at this time. I always loved the Shelby Daytona Coupe, and the GR-1 is a modern take on it.

Did they ever put a powerplant into the GR-1, or is it just a body? I was just wondering after going over to my model Cobra Roadster Concept that has a V10 that I still don't understand.

Peter, the Chrome GR-1, I believe, was the running concept car. The original one, in silver (the one on Rides) only was a shell, with no interior and no drivetrain. The V-10 was used, I believe, as it was the same motor that was in the Cobra Roadster Concept. That was the motor that they worked on for an episode of Rides a few years back.
