Seen today: 74 Merc Montego, Wood Brothers Tribute Car
This Merc rolled into a show today and it was beyond impressive. According to the bio sheet it was commissioned by Barrett Jackson for a charity auction. There was no info on how the current owner came into possession of the car.
It's an accurate copy appearance-wise of a car that David Pearson and the Wood Brothers campaigned in the mid-70's including the correct color codes. It was built to original 1974 NASCAR specs as much as possible while still being street legal and safely driveable. The level of detail and cleanliness was exemplary. I couldn't stop looking at this build.
