saw a cool rat rod today

I know, its not a true ford, its got the wrong motor, but cool nonetheless

check out the trick rear suspension. coils! It also looks like the entire frame was made by the owner. The rust is atrocious, amenities (and even some necessities) non existent, but man... its sweet.

I saw some ricers walking away from it as i walked towards it. The only words i caught were "he don't even got a downpipe on that s***"

they have no idea

I think it's cool.....sending things like that to the crusher is a crime against the car hobby....if everyone followed that outlook there would be SO many fewer Shelby's, Mach 1's, Boss 302's and every other model of Mustang out there. Car enthusiasts are the first recyclers and the most innovative recyclers out there. Granted I don't agree with the engine choice as I think it needs a flathead in it but at least it is still there for someone to enjoy and for someone else down the road to do it the right way with a flathead.

Yeah Jason, thats mine :P I parked farther away at first, but drove closer to the rat rod

The thing looks terrifying standing still, I can't imagine what driving it is like. Maybe someday I'll build me one

I'd be scare as hell to drive that thing. Classic Rat rod and I can understand the craze but that looks like a death trap waiting to swallow you up.
