Unhappy A sad day for UK Ford fans

The Transit was recently advertised as "The backbone of Britain". Pity that backbone will now be built in Turkey.

I fully understand Ford have to take action to ensure profitability, but I'm gutted that there are no more vehicles (engines, yes, but no cars or trucks) built in "Great" Britain

"You cost too much to let us continue using you for making our stuff... but hey, buy it when we put it on the showroom/shelves, k? Thanks."

I'm glad some of them still can work, and some of them retired, and the worst of the lot is the 'voluntary redundancy' set, but really.. this is lose for the entire community, not just those few blokes.

I never knew those were built in the UK. All the Transits that come to the US have always came from Turkey.
