I would say the Acura TL, Cadillac CTS, Infiniti G35, among others.

I forgot Lexus GS.

I agree it's heading the right way if they stay as true to the concept as possible and build it with substantial quality.

In YOUR reality, maybe.

But if you really want to engage in this silly semantic debate, hey, I'm available...

No, I don't really want to continue, especially since I didn't start it. However, I will give you a clue as to the subject of this thread since it seems to have eluded you: read the thread subject line.

Yeah, thanks for that, Captain Obvious.

I believe we're discussing LINCOLNS in this thread. You know, new models...current models...curb appeal...quality...safety...blah, blah, blah.

It's A to B to C stuff. It ain't rocket science.

Since it took Captain Obvious to point out to you, what does that make you....Ensign Obvious???

BTW, even if A leads to B leads to C, it's still off-topic.

This gonna be powered by the 4.4l Yamaha V8? 3.5 Duratec V6? Both?

And, for the record, if SVT pulled an SRT..how would THIS beast be all SVT'ed up?

I read where it'll initially be powered by the 3.5L and the 4.4L V8 will arrive later. I'm not sure if later means "later in the model year" or the next model year.

SVT could supercharge the 4.4L to the tune of 400HP. Couple it with the AWD and you'd have a nice little luxury screamer!

Well, I did mention the Lexus GS in a later post. You could be right though. Those were cars that popped into my head right off the bat.

This might be a stupid question, but what happened to the 3.9L V8? I think it's a great little engine.

3.9L? You mean the AJ-V8 in 3.9L? It was panned for not being powerful enough in the T-Bird and LS. It died with the LS, though jag and LR use bigger-bore versions still.

The 4.4L can be transversely-mounted, which I think is a neccesity in the MKS's platform.

Correct. The 4.4L is a 60 degree "V" configuration instead of the normal 90 degree you see in most other V8s. It's makes it easier to implement in a transverse configuration since it's narrower.
