P0171 & P0174 06 ford five hundred

Just looking for some ideas. Searching the web wasn't as clear as I thought it'd be. I took it in to have the throttle body cleaned because of a carbon build up. We got a paper in the mail about a recall or a TSB I can't remember. It would cause the throttle to stick sometimes. Well now a week or two later it shoots those codes :\ I heard clean the MAF? What to do?

Lean codes both banks. Throttle body was just cleaned. Check and see if there is a leak or something left loose. If you don't see anything, take it back to the dealer that cleaned it.

Why would you. Did they clean the throttle body? Light wasn't on when you brought it in. Unless I'm mistaken about them cleaning it.

Check for anything that came loose between the MAF and the TB. If nothing found, just clear it. Possibly disconnect the battery for a while, ground the positive cable when disconnected, and try it out. That should clear all learned memory and relearn itself.

So it'd be better to do the battery cable & ground it than just use an obd2 tester to clear it ?

I'm thinking that the learned idle from before the TB cleaning might have it acting up. If you disconnect and ground the positive cable, it should erase all learned (not permanent) data. Worth a shot. If it comes back on after, I would go further into it then.

Well I un hooked the positive battery cable and stuck it to the negative terminal for 15-20 minutes. Code was off for probably 30-45 minutes. :\
