New Truck Engine Options (Maybe) Found on Ford's Website
If you go to the New/Future Vehicles section of the website, you can build and price a new 2007 Expedition/Expedition EL. At the end of the options they list several that could be made available in the next few years including: adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, etc.
There were two very interesting ones, however. Both listed as an optional cost of $2,500, I know these engines have been brought up before on the forums, but I was really surprised that Ford actually gave engine ratings. Here they are:
4.5L V8 Diesel Engine
300+ horsepower and 450 lb.-ft. of torque. The diesel is designed to get 3-4 mpg better fuel economy on average compared to the 5.4L gas engine.
4.6L V8 Gas-Electric Hybrid
300 horsepower with 365 lb.-ft. of torque. The hybrid is designed to get 3-4 mpg better fuel economy on average compared to the 5.4L gas engine.
