I agree. If executed properly this could play to the present stengths of every international division, ultimately creating one larger, stronger, more efficient global Ford unit. And given the fact that Mullaly didn't turn Boeing into a global monstrosity when streamlining that company, something which former CEO Nasser's actions threatened to do to Ford.....I am comfortable that, under his watch, Ford will stay an America company first and foremost.

I agree, this sounds very smart. All they need now is the time to pull it off.

Based on this article, it sounds like Mulally picked the right guy. Everyone seems concerned that Mulally isn't a "car guy" but if he keeps selecting people like Kuzak for key positions, he'll do just fine.
