AE checks in with their blatantly Photoshopped prediction. Actually, it doesn't look half bad.

Kinda in the theme of the Volvo C30, which I like (rode around in one the other day) and upcoming VW Scirroco (sp-?), and perhaps Toyota bringing back the Celica.
Having been a 1973 Capri owner -- just dated myself I fear -- I am excited to see it make a comeback. And as way back in the day, the original Capri made for a great, smaller, more efficient counterpart to the then leviathan Mustang, so too, in this new day of expensive gas and other foreboding trends, might this make a good counterpart to the fairly large Mustang.
While I would have hoped for more of a RWD configuration, a well done FWD/AWD chassis in the expected power range can be great too as Ford Europe has done so well lately. And certainly stateside, the Mercury division disparately needs something, anything, to breathe some life into its moribund showrooms.
