Mercury: Nix the Waterfall?
With merc seemingly getting new life with (hopefully) some really nice products, a question arises:
Is it time to nix the Waterfall?
No, I'm not talking about the grill, though it might be past its time as well. I'm talking about this:
I think it's become too deeply associated with the staid, soft-driving Ford clone image that Merc wears now. People see that Logo and their brains just turn off. IMO, it's time to show it the door and try something else.
My preference? Oh yeah:

they should have nixed it the day after someone thought it up.
The stylised "M" which as I recall was supposed to be the Mercury road, quickly became just 'the waterfall'. A huge failure.
For 2003 with the Marauder they tried to bring back the Mercury God's head. They were only partially successful.
Go the whole way this time!

^^^that gets my vote as long as they dont kill mercury! my pop has an '03 and when compared to the waterfall, the Merc God's head is so much better looking, its bold, and has more meaning to it.
