Automotive News sat down with Derrick Kuzak, Lincoln's product development chief, to discuss what lies ahead for Ford's erstwhile luxury marque, and Kuzak was quoted as saying, "We do think that there is room for a smaller car in the Lincoln brand," but he was unable to provide any hard details on what – if anything – is planned.

Typo, they meant below the MKZ. Its been edited now.
I disagree with AB that this automatically means a compact sedan, a "smaller car" could mean something other than a compact sedan. Maybe he MKZ will shrink when MKR hits the street. Maybe a Linc roadster? If he IS talking about a compact sedan, it means they all are still not quite on the same page over there, as others have been pretty adamant that Merc takes over the small cars and Linc stays big.
