Ford did really well this time around. All three of its american brands are above the industry average! Lincoln is 3rd, Mercury is ahead of both Acura and Honda, and the Ford brand is just behind them and BMW. Not too shabby at all!
Its interesting to see how between GM and Ford, its really neck and neck for three of their brands each. Like, Lincoln vs Cadillac, Mercury vs Buick, and Ford vs Chevy.... very even. but then GM also had oldsmobile back then, plus pontiac, GMC and Saturn which are all a little below industry average. Overall, i'd say its pretty impressive on ford's part.

This is a long term durability report, so that means these are 2002 cars. I'm curious to know how ford'll be doing in about 4 years when cars like the 500, the fusion, the new stang and the F-150 start showing up in these tests.
