my biggest problems with china...
1) they tend to steal/copy/resell everything sent over there...if i recall correctly, QQ motors copied the gmc colorado trucks, put a copied mercedes diesel, copied toyota trans... truck looked identical, except for beyond pathetic crash test damage. they copy everything, quote low to get jobs, then copy it and screw the same companies that they begged for the work.

2) 'parts' are often from various suppliers, with no disclosure...so many times chinese stuff might bo ok one day, utter junk the next- probably came from a copycat factory down the road...they have no consistency as theres not enough folks watching over their production. and the govt does not crack down effectively on copycat/black market stuff.

with them building everything with zero engineering, they get rolling fast- and anyone can improve on someone elses product easily, compared to coming up with the concept/engineering/tooling technology to build it. we build a colorado tooling over there, a year later they sell amost the same product with maybe 1% the engineering cost- to some they might feel bad for gm getting their work stolen like this, but to me, sorry- the greedy bean counters that decided to go over there to save a buck shot us all in the foot, they deserve to get screwed right along with the rest of us that allowed them to do it the last few decades.
