Well I finally got the dash back in around 2:00 am last night. looks phenomenal in my opinion compared to what it was. I'm very, very happy about it.
A few observations from last night...
1. I forgot the truck had 133,000 miles. I haven't had the dash or speedo in for at least a year.
2. I still have half a tank of gas from when I bought it back in September of 2008.
3. The tach doesn't work. Bu then again I think it might not have worked when I got it. I can't really remember. Seems like a had a car with a non-working tach. And all the others work. Not sure how to fix that.
4. The paint/dye I used held up pretty well to all the scraping and shoving I was doing trying to get the dash back in.
5. I only had 3 screws left over and I only broke one mounting point on the dash. I'll have to figure something out on that one. Use a bolt and washer or maybe some #M tape would work. Not sure.
6. I forgot how slow these things are. Time for 4.10s and I'm gonna have to create some more horsepower if I'm gonna drive it much.

It was really, really late last night and I had a bit of a old age moment...
I fixed the tach today. The tach has a peg at 0 and for some reason the needle was under the peg. So it couldn't go up. So I fixed that real quick and all is good again.
It's not my fault. It was so dark in there at 2:00 am. But in the daylight today it was so easy to see.
Just came back from a cruise. She needs brake work, a new exhaust, and she pulls to the right a little. But other than that the 351 cubic inches was awesome.

Well the Bronco passed inspection on the second try today.
So I'm street legal. Of course the brakes are shot and the exhaust has more than one leak but I guess they didn't care about that. Thank goodness.
I just got back from scheduling an appointment tomorrow to have the bedliner sprayed on the bumpers, rocker panels, and removable top. This time tomorrow there will no longer be anything tan or gold on the Bronco. Nor will there be any link to Eddie Bauer, other than the embroidered seats which are also not long for this world.
I'm also getting tinted on the all the side windows. Nothing on the back as I don't think tint would even last a week on that window. There's tons of grit on the weatherstrip and down inside the tailgate that would just cut it all to shreds. The guy told me he could do it, but it would not last.
And my front bumper light bar and Hella lights came in today.

After tomorrow the only thing to finish on the exterior will be lift kit and tires and wheels after that.
Inside I have everything I need to put it back together too. The only thing inside will be the seats that I will get a new upholstery kit for and recover.
Then its performance mods only.
