Other Brightening points:
-Fusion still way up, +38%
-Milan up 43%
-Escape up 22%
-Explorer only down 2k units, which means the Edge isn't stealing away all its sales as we'd feared.
-New Taurus beat old 500
-New Sable beast old Montego
-CV/Marquis fleet sales appear to be way up (hey, sales are sales)

What happened with the Focus? According to the "internet auto enthusiasts" and blogs, this car was doomed to failure, yet sales are up each month since it debuted on dealer lots, (14% in Oct., 18% in Nov.)
The Escape was declared a failure by the "internet auto enthusiasts" as well, but it's up 22% and outsold the RAV4.
The Fusion was declared "not good enough" by the internet peanut gallery and it's up 38%.
Somebody's out of touch with the real world

That seems to be par for the BOF SUV market, which is why Explorer's probably going unibody in its next generation. But, like I said, we were worried that Edge sales would be mostly or largely Explorer-conquests, and instead the Edge is a success in its own right.
