I'm not sure what Ford will really call it but "329" sounds/looks alot like "429"

Wouldn't be the 1st time Ford inaccurately labeled a Mustang engine size. The 302 was a 4.9L but Ford called it the "5.0" probably because it sounded better. Same logic might be used to call it the "Boss 329" rather than the "Boss 330" or "Boss 5.4"

Remember a couple of years ago that Ford called it's V10 experiment Mustang the "Boss 351". They could have called it the "Boss 5.8"

Ford could very easily do this just like GM did with the GTO, they just have to develop a lefthand drive Aussie Falcon. I did some research and the Aussie Falcon is within 1/2" of almost every interior dimension except the trunk, CrownVic 20 cuFt/Falcon 17.5cuFt and the Aussie Falcon can be ordered with a 380 HP 5.4 4V--I could live with that

Personally i think Boss 330 sounds better then Boss 329...

They called it Boss 351 because that it was actually 351 cid... 281/8= 35.125 per cylinder...multiply by 10 and you get 351.25 cid... so there really was no choice but to make it a Boss 351.

The 3.5 V6 will be available next year with 250 HP.

The 4.6 3V can easily be bumped to 325 HP and a 3V 5.4 can easily make 360 HP.

The Aussie 5.4 4V makes almost 390 HP, and American version can too.
Basically the same engine as the 2007 Shelby Mustang.

The 6.7 V10 would be a 5.4 with two extra cylinders--then we could hunt Vipers, with a supercharger we could hunt about anything.

going back i have one complaint:

screw the Galaxie name. just bring the Ford Falcon over as is! i love that car to death. an FPV XR6 UTE is my dream car for 05 thank you very much.

and yeah, bring the UTE version over as well and call it the Falcon Ranchero :P

theres nothign wrong eith the galaxie name mind you, but since its called "falcon" and that name in itself has alot of Ford Heritage (and keeps with the current all F name theme) i think it should stay as a falcon

True Dat! but the Galaxie was Fords full size car. The Falcon was Fords small car. I like the Falcon name. I wish they had called the Fusion either Falcon or Fairlane! And I would definately like to see a "Ranchero"!!!!

i just dont see the point in changin the name if its just the same car. maybe give the galaxie name to the 500... call it the galaxie 500 lol.

but fusion is a nice name on its own. i like it. and plus, we cant have allll the names of new fords be throwbacks to another generation. ppl might think the past is all ford has. new names like fusion show that ford has its eyes on the past, present AND future... not just the past

if that makes any sense lol
