I just read this. I'm not sure if it's good or bad. Good that they're standing behind their product but you can bet the press will just go wild with this, not to mention the Ford haters.

I'm glad to see Ford is continuing to make sure they are correcting these issues, especially on vehicles over 15 years old.

Yep, all the haters are out in full force if you read the comments after that Autoblog article. Stuff like: "Fool me once (Pinto) shame on you, Fool me twice (cc, ignition coil, ignition switch, plastic manifold fires) shame on me."
That being said, Ford has to shed its "cost cutting over safety/quality/reliablity" mentality once and for all if it ever hopes to regain market share.

OK, lots and lots of recalls over the @$$# cruise control issue on many Fords - even a few fires. So just how hard is it for Ford to figure this out when other manufactuerers don't seem to have problem (at this level) with cruise control. I just hate Toyota's "cruise on a stick" - even on the highest end Lexus....but it's the same unit on all thier cars (I think) (lower costs) and it seems to work. What gives?
