Got my $750 coupon in the mail today. Sad to see that it isn't valid for a focus ST.

Better fuel economy than the GTI with more power. Looks like it's primed to make a big dent in sales of both the MS3 and GTI.

I really want one of these, but I think for budgetary reasons in a year or so, I'm going to get a couple model years old Titanium edition, unless a test drive blows my socks off.

As of right now at least. New GTI with new engine is coming soon. I would venture to bet the same power as the ST and same mpgs.

I'm impressed with the MPG numbers I can't wait to see a full road test and comparisons against the gti civic si, Mazda 3,wrx. I'm itching to buy a new car and this is yet another car to add to my list of potential suitors!

I wish Ford didn't have to package everything.... wish I could choose HIDs or leather as individual options. I think it is a great value in base trim but a loaded one is a bit pricey.

I agree. Certain options should have been standalone, not only in packages.

I think it helps to keep down the price of the options as a whole.

Seeing as this is a low production car, it makes sense to bundle things together so the price can stay lower. Besides you can get this thing fully loaded for $30,000. You could buy a GTI for that price which wouldn't come with all the comforts and technology while it lacks the power of this thing.

It's a hybrid of the GTI and MS3, with a good amount of Ford thrown in it.

I agree it is an awesome car but I have a hard time justifying a 30k plus purchase for a sub compact...

to be fair its a compact and this is going to be how things are very soon. The price of mustangs is going up so fast I cannot see them selling alot in ten years from now.

Prices of both new and used cars have gone up a lot in the recent years.

I read a report about that. People are keeping their cars longer and lots of people have bad credit. I have been debating purchasing a new v6 accord coupe and cars that are 2 or 3 years old are still commanding a high price depending on financing it may be cheaper to buy new over used!

the focus is much roomier than you'd think. My linebacker frame even fits in there nicely.

the packages are cheaper when bundled, but dont forget, it's alot easier to build and not make mistakes either, because you dont have people having to hand pick 15 different things, they pick a "box" with 8 things in it, and dont have to worry about checking to see if it's right or not.

My problem with car prices is that cars come equipped with everything and anything these days, and because of that - prices are high.
I usually buy basic models because I don't need too much of electronic crap (car will last longer in a long run that way). I wish Ford would offer a more of a basic Focus ST for under $20,000. I really wouldn't care whether it had Sync or even power lock and windows.

Performance cars are almost always a top trim level, unless the car itself is a sports car (like the Mustang).

Honestly, how many times do you need to change your screen name? Every time I look, it's something else.

This will be the last one ... unless I decide to be a Red Star again.

Few days ago it was Zastava 101's 40th birthday, and this was the most popular car in Serbia back in the 1970s and 1980s (my dad had two then he was in his 20s) ... I hope to restore one in the future when I return to Europe someday.

I'm way too lazy to put my windows up manually. I already hate getting into cars that don't have one touch up/down after getting out of the mustang.
