Just a quick little tidbit in the latest motor trend says this car is ready to go for 2007, with suspension upgrades and possibly a more powerful 3.0 litre, but sticks with 17inch wheels instead of 18s... shucks.
Okay, that's cool... but what about.....

SVT fusion?

I guess I like the sound of GT a lot better than ST, which is what they were saying this would be called. GT definitely sounds cooler. It'd be cool if it had the same GT logo as the stang, just like the falcon down under.

We could very well get both with the GT having a higher ouput 3.0L and the SVT getting the 3.5L (and hopefully AWD).

That'd be way too much power for a Fusion. While it would undoubtedly be neat, it would be reaching too far into a niche market.

I have a feeling that a V8 might be in the 500s future.

I believe a V8 can fit in the 500 Chassis... the 4.4?

Maybe we will have both the GT and the SVT.

The GT would likely have the V6 or maybe a turbo-4. Hopefully a 6-gear transmission, or at least a manual is offered with the 6.

none of 'em need a V8 until they're moved to a RWD and not transversal-mounted or we'll have the same rep as the Grand Prix and Impala,

Well for the SVT Im sure it will be close to what the Mazdaspeed 6 has, 274-hp turbo 4 cyl, 6-spd, and awd!
