From Motor Trend:
That's not to say One Ford is completely global-centric; its hugely successful F-Series (a model that engenders extreme jealousy among companies like VW and Toyota) likely will remain the nation's bestseller for years to come, and the '15 Mustang will continue to be the American-centric icon no matter where it's sold.
Ford Evos concept revealed (hints for 2015?)
Autoblog has the reveal pictures and video.
I can definitely see some areas that could influence the Mustang on the front. Not so much for the interior or rear, but who knows

They already had them in Japan when I was there just 2 weeks ago..I liked them a lot.

my thoughts: sharp looking concept, especially the front. Since this will be the basis for the new crop of Fords, i can see some of the front end styling translating into the upcoming 'stang.
They did use the current Kugas here in MI for testing. I know there were spy shots somewhere. Shortly after, they started grafting the new fascia on them.
I spoke with a friend, who works for a marketing company that supports Ford of Europe. According to her, she's been informed that this is a very, very close representation of what the new Fusion/Mondeo will look like, and while there might be a few design cues that make it to the Mustang in the name of 'One Ford,' this isn't close to the new Mustang's design. She did state that there are a lot of things in this concept that won't make it to production, like the hinged doors, but that the overall shape, dimensions, and design are pretty darned close. Also, the Kuga/Escape that we'll be getting soon will be an SUV version of this design, obviously with a taller rear section, higher ride, etc.

I gotta say, if Ford's at all hesitating about doing a Fusion Coupe this Concept is doing a great job of selling the idea to consumers. Put something out that's within spitting distance of this (at least on the outside), and I'd be in line to buy one.
450 HP V8 mustang coupe sold next to a 365 hp ecoboost AWD fusion coupe with that body.... that would be a tough choice
If Ford wants to make that thing the Fusion coupe, I'm fine with it - just not the next gen Mustang. The rear styling needs major attention, don't know why Ford can't design a nice looking rearend for their cars anymore
Seems like those fancy electric doors would be a drain of several driving miles.
If it was parked for an extended period after the batteries are somewhat low, would hate to be unable to open the doors.

Well its a concept, but I think real-world doors like that have gas struts for going up and electric motors for going down. So even without power it would still open if you can trip the latch.

The new Escape (as well as Kuga) will be based of Vertek concept.
Bad move if you ask me, since boxy Escape just had best selling month ever.
Motor Trend has got a write-up on it, too. It's really sharp looking. The Evos is just a concept car, but I'd love to see that styling translated into a three-door about the same size as the last-generation Mercury Cougar. Build it on the Focus chassis, outfit it with the new 2.0 EcoBoost engine, and call it the Probe. I think Ford would sell a ton of them.
