It has Mustang cues all over it and the way it lays back, maybe a 3 version Mustang maybe returning, Coupe, Vert and Hatchback!
the frontend is OK, but I think whoever sketched it up saw IronMan the night before... the backend is a busy mess in my opinion.
the front doors hinged mid-cowl is a fresh idea- I think that might make a more doable gullwing setup as the doors could be tipped more for headroom getting in and out- and should be pretty strong compared to roof only hinges...production line door installs could be a breeze too.
I still would be curious to see pop/slide doors tried on a 2 door like the mustang- minivan doors might seem like 'minivan doors', but they are practical compared to mile long doors that still have almost no rear entry room. I think they could come up with a way to make the top single, and hide the double doortrack in the rocker cover if they tried...

There are some elements I like (I'm seeing some Aston Martin, Mustang, and Shelby GR-1 in there), but overall I'm a bit lukewarm on this little exercise. Too many design elements mushed together, but perhaps that's the point of a design study...
That was the first thing that popped into my head, this looks very Genesis. And I have to disagree with those that think there are Mustang cues in it - where do you see any Mustang influence?

I believe I read this was the basis for the new Fusion/Mondeo that is to be released. I don't think this is at all going to be the new Mustang. I like it..do I think its a Mustang? No...

The grill and hood look like something I could see on a Mustang. The hood overhang of the grill is something that caught my eye. Nothing's identical, just things I could see being incorporated into a redesign.
Merged all 3 threads...we don't need one in each section.
This is not a mustang, nor mustang related.
If anything this shows the new design direction that Ford will be taking with a lot of their vehicles...which is really nice.
(which after reading the article is exactly what it is... Kinetic Next (or Kinext
