If ever I were in a position where I needed to buy minivan-esque vehicle, I'd go for this in a moment.

Yep, I saw one at the new car show here in Tulsa, and it looks great inside and out. I wish it had been on the market when we were looking for a CUV for my wife. Should be a good sale booster for Ford.

This is good news! I saw it at the Chicago Auto Show, it looked great, and I was really a fan of it's cousin, the Lincoln MKX. If I get a chance I will try to load some pictures.

I told my fiancee that after we're married, we'll buy her a new car (she has an older model POS Hyundai Tiburon). She's narrowed the list to:
1) Chrysler 300
2) Ford 500
3) Honda Pilot
4) Ford Freestyle
5) Ford Edge (her favorite right now)
I'm hoping she sticks with the Edge since I think it's pretty cool.

ya i would definitely choose the edge out of that list. I'd prefer a fusion, but it seems like she's going for something a little bigger. When they come out with the hybrid edge, that'd be the perfect car for me, if I could only afford one and needed something to accommodate occasional band equipment or mountain bikes. Maybe i'll actually be earning money by then...

I don't get the beautiful argument. I can see how people like its masculine lines and old-school look. But those hideuous headlights, that gigantic gille, and the huge hiney, yuck.

ya i totally agree with that. I think the proportions of that car are awesome, the lines and everything. But i'm just not into that face. I'm curious to see what they'll do with a restyling in a couple years.

My next car will probably be 300C (unless Ford builds 427 concept).

I participated in an online survey for the Edge today. It was showing an MSRP of $28,500 for the SEL version. They were gauging interest in a sport appearance pkg for $2500-$2600. It consisted of 20in wheels, red leather inserts for the seats and other exterior pieces which in my opinion gave it a much better look( I like the regular one too). This seems like it is going to be a nice vehicle. I hope I can afford one.
