Fusion "GT"

For a V8, Ford should consider going with RWD. I think they should move it to a rear platform for the next revision of the car, otherwise the Chevy guys wouldn't be the only ones being laughed at for having a torque steering bohemoth(The Impala and Monte Carlo SS's).

the only problem with that is that ford doesnt really have any other RWD platforms other than the 'stang and the CV and those obviously wont nwork on a fusion sized vehicle. and the thing is ford most likkely isnt going to develop a new one for a while especially since the fusion is still pretty new and im sure they dont wanna throw allthe R&D that went into the current FWD platform oiut of the window...
im not saying its a bad idea. i actually like it alot. i just doubt ford will do that

I dont think a V8 fusion would work...
a turbo-charged awd fusion coupe with the new V6 is what I would LOVE to see.
And as for looks... we all know what I want (look up Doug's SVT F-Bomb)

I think its a little silly to put that big of a motor for a FWD car.
They could easily raid the parts bin from Mazdaspeed/MKZ and build a hipo AWD car. The 3.5L V6 is very strong, thorw a manual transmission behind it with an AWD driveline and it would be a great combination

I really wish ford had more coupes, but maybe they just weren't in high enough demand. But Ford's only coupe is the mustang... what about 2-door focuses and fusions? hehe... 2-door crown vic?? Honda's got Civic and Accord coupes... Chevy's got the cobalt and the monte carlo.
I think they'll come out with a Fusion ST or something like that, plus more recently, it seemed like an SVT Fusion could be back on the menu in the future, but i'm doubting there's much hope for a coupe.

The 3.5 turbo V6 might work with AWD, but the AWD system could never support a V8, because the all-wheel system still favors the front wheels and uses the rear wheels for traction uses and less for a real transfer of power.
