Id look at the neon srt-4 before the caliber. The neons run 13s, the calibers are lucky to make it out of the 15s if memory serves.

 

neons are faster but then you are driving a neon. I had a 2007 caliber r/t and it had wonderful room and could fit most things. The caliber has some very nice options.

I have no method to this madness. I will have my modding fun and project with the SHO I bought. But I need something I can drive daily. The focus is pissing me off(well kinda) and no one can say when and why it is or is not being built. Im waiting in like to spend 28k on a focus when I can buy a kickass jag now.. waiting for my credit union to call me back(monday).

The SHO has landed!! It was a scary trip and I made a 2 page of list of things to fix or check on.

 

Engine or suspension issues were scary?

 

it needs new catalytic converters. I bought some magnaflow ones that I need to weld on. It did make for a manly trip from tucson.. I drove the car back. I feel like it was my 7th top gear challenge.

 

You'll be able to dress that up in no time.

Cleaning it up and seeing what I can do with it. Might sell or might keep. Its rough but I already like it. My first car was a 1993 Taurus gl. I wanted this car in this color my whole jr high and high school life.

 

taking the car in friday to get the new cats installed. Also picking up a new dash mat friday. Got the new oil pan gasket on order. New air filter installed. Fresh oil and filter done.

 

 

Looks like the one I used to have. A buddy in Pittsburgh found it abandoned at a service station. We got a salvage title for it and I bought as it was too nice to part out. Put a battery in a she fired right up. No keys and i got an ignition set from him and drilled out the original. git a set of door locks/keys off the SHO forum. Check your brake hoses, as they like to swell shut, one if mine were. And the goofy valve at the rear that regulates the pressure to the rear brakes likes to take a dump. Mine was shot and I bypassed it. Also check the strut rods to the front of the lower k member. Usually the bushings die, sometimes the cups in the the frame crack loose. I had to weld mine. And put new lower control arms on to get it inspected. Had the water pump die right before I moved back to MD. I did that, new crank sensor and cam seals while it was tore down. Then all struts. The thing ran great. Had all new rotors, pads and calipers. Prolly from parts changers not finding the hose and valve being bad. Miss that car about as much as my old 92 LX 5.0....
