What are the brake rotors like? Btw, the wifey told me today, that she'd be okay with taking over my Escape as her mommy car, and letting me get a new DD...do they lease STs? I don't want to buy one, as I know I'll want to mod it, but I can see it making a really good DD even stock. What say you?

I am sure they lease them. Four doors and good mpg. Its fun and you pick them up for cheap right now. I drove mine for a whole year stock and loved it.

the new brakes are great. The new exhaust is really nice.

They do. I've been looking. Now I'm trying to decide what will be the least irresponsible commute car, looking at Focus STs, Mustang V6s with Performance Packs or do I really do the responsible thing and lease a Focus Electric....

But he had to drive a Volt for those 8 months.

How many kilowatts did he use?

True. I drive it occasionally. It's not what I'm used to of course. But it's what he likes so I let it be. I'll have to check to see what his electricity usage has been since he got it.

focus electric is nice but very $$$$. plus you cannot go on long trips with it.

a engergi cmax or fusion would be better if you want to be green about it.

The ST focus has four doors and is more kid friendly then the v6 mustang. The ST also walks away from new v6 mustangs on the street in the real world. I am still unsure how they do that. The focus is a hatch and that makes every day trips to the store easy.

also.. its been proven that the carbon foot print of the "green" cars is much larger and far worse then a normal gas motor. That makes it simply a social/fashion statement with little to no real world value. People that think they are saving the world by driving something with big batteries and uses coal power to charge those batteries are miss guided. Cars that use a large amount of exotic materials will always have a exponentially larger carbon foot print then a old school metal car.

We looked at the Fusion Energi - it's $46k...

I was only considering the Focus Electric and Fusion Energi for my gf to save gas. If we're going to have a car payment, may as well try to reduce other expenses right?

Eh, I pretty much decided ST or nothing last night. I'm going to save up more for a DP this upcoming month and see what happens. I like the ST2 package but want the HIDs so I'm going to see if they can add it through service and roll into the financing

I wanted to get the wife a engergi fusion.. omg 46k is right! so she got a focus

I did a lot of looking into things when I ordered my ST2 car. I went and seen a st3 car and hated the center console. It different in the ST# cars so you have the heated seat controls in reach. Other then the st3 hids I wanted nothing from the st3 package. The all leather st3 seats are nice, but only come in black. I wanted the blue and black combo. The extra cost of 2-3k for the st3 pack was not worth it to me.

I hear ya. I'll have to check out the center console differences. The only other thing the ST3 has that I want are heated mirrors. I actually like the black/smoke storm combo ST2 seats, as they match the black/gray/red Recaro baby seat we already own

I'm thinking white or silver for the exterior. I wish they offered SGM though.

That they do. I haven't seen a silver one. Easy to keep clean too. My mom has a 2003 ZX5 in CD Silver, still looks good to this day!
