Ummm, wow, Ford of Europe is coming out with some hot, stylish and sophisticated small and midsized cars. Both the 3 and 5 door models are fantastic looking and is as good as the domestic 3-door Focus is atrocious.

Hopefully, Ford will bring both the 3 and 5-door versions here unmolested by the urge to booger things up by modifying them for "American tastes," inevitably done with disastrous results. If the plaid suites can't keep their paws off it, at least restrict themselves to the sedan version and leave the others in their unsullied purity.

We get the Sedan for sure, the 3-dr is still undecided but looking good with Farley pushing hard for it. The 5-door I don't know, it may come a year or two later, especially if the 3 launches and does really well, but most likely won't be here at launch.

I like the 3 and 5 door hatchback body style better. I don't hear people wanting a Fit sedan and the Versa sedan looks even uglier than the hatchback, which IMO didn't look that good to begin with. Of course, the Verve sedan or whatever it will be called looks better than the competition mentioned above.

OMG, My best friend had a Fiesta in the early '90's. Man that was a hunk of crap, we used to tease him it came standard with a hole in the floorboard for 2 feet power like Flinstones, and if you ever went fast enough to have to stop you threw an anchor out the window for a 60-0 in 0 ft. Of course it beat walking.

Please Ford I'm begging you the car looks good, do not use that name if you bring it here, the name brings back bad memories.

The target demo for the New Fiesta was under 10 years old in the early 90s, they don't remember the Hunk O Crap Fiesta

Ford didn't sell the Fiesta in the US in the 90s. You're probably thinking of the Festiva, which was a piece of crap.

True it was a Festiva, I remember it had like different flags of the world under the name, I guess it was Fords "world" car of the time. The matte khaki paint job was really kick ***.

Are all the other names taken, I mean come on Fiesta, can't we do something about these names Ford?

For markets outside of the US, the name is fine. Fiesta has been used continously since 1976. For the US, not many remember since it was only for '78 - '80 (I think). I'm a bit ambivalent on the name. If the car is as good as it looks, it'll sell.
