There's always Fiat 500 Abarth and Mini Cooper ...

Too bad this car is not available in the USA ... Citroen DS3 ... 2,700 lbs, turbo 200 hp engine.

That looks pretty amazing for a French car.

I just dont care for the Fiat at all. That Citroen looks contemporary at least.

There are so many similar choices in Europe ...

Renault Twingo RS is another popular choice.

Here's another one you might like - Opel Corsa OPC.
It's a fast little thing. Last summer on my way to Croatia I tried to keep up against one, but my VW Golf diesel just couldn't do it ...

Still dig the Citroen the most.

Someday I'd like to go to Europe for a month or so. But I'd be afraid I'd stick out like a sore thumb.

They are, but from what I have heard, they drive differently. Citroen is perfect for daily driving (most of French cars are); however, Opel sucks at daily driving (noisy, uncomfortable) and its perfect for the track.
