understatement there, the only difference between the two years was the headlights i believe 78 had round 79 had square...regardless if you can find one, hold onto it and fix it up, they were some of the most rugged vehicles ford made

I've gotta say I'm glad that it sounds like Ford is going to use the smaller F100 chassis to produce something closer in concept to the original 66-77 bronco than the later, full-size models which followed. Don't misunderstand, I love all years of the Bronco, but the original is the legend and arguably is to off-roader's what the 65-70 Mustangs are to the American GT.

That said, it would be a great day if we got the afore-mentioned 66-77 throwback Bronco and a 2-door Expy model based on the next generation model of that SUV. Then we could have th best of both worlds, particularly if the two door Expy managed to get the same suspension setup as the F150 'Raptor' project.
