I have a 2004 Expedition and noticed water dripping from underneath. I get under the car and notice water dripping from the muffler. I have never seen this before. I have seen water dripping from the tail pipe, but I never thought there could be enough moisture to settle in the muffler and drip from it. Is this exactly the problem or can the water be coming from somewhere else? I can't think of any other place it can come from.

 

does it sound any different?? If you have a leak, you would hear a fast ticking noise all the time...

 

I haven't noticed a ticking. Doesn't sound or perform any different. Although I don't drive this car, and my wife knows nothing about cars. What bothers me is the water leaking. I also got under there again and noticed a dent in the middle of the muffler. It looks like she ran something over. I'm probably gonna have to replace it anyways.
