My answer was for the engine in the US best known for swaps. While the LS is taking over where the SBC left off. It's still shy of the mark for how many vehicles have had the SBC treatment. Oh and the LS is still a Small Block Chevy.

Ford stuffed a Ranger engine in a Mustang for 5 years, about time somebody tried it the other way around.
