From Car Wars 2014-2017...
"As we learned from last year’s “Car Wars” report, there’s a fair bit in store at the Blue Oval, with Ford and Lincoln refreshing almost the entire product portfolio by the end of 2017. We already are well aware of the 2015 Mustang and Edge, but it looks like Lincoln will use 2017 as its year to expand. The Aviator moniker will be revived for an Explorer twin again, a new Navigator will emerge, and there will be a new “MKM” and “MKA” coupe and sedan.

Lincoln really do have the most confusing naming convention. How about some names again?

There is nothing wrong with the MK strategy, but it needs to be less confusing.
If they wanna use letters, they can have a strategy similar to Mercedes, where MKC would complete against C-Class, MKE with E-Class and so on. Or if they wanna use numbers, then MK3 for 3-Series rival, MK5 for 5-Series rival ...
This current strategy is too confusing. MKZ is the smaller and cheapest current Lincoln; yet, it has "Z" in the name, MKC is a crossover ... Just too confusing.
