Uh, I hate to be the cynical one (and I wish I could belive the story, because it's very cool) but doesn't anyone else find an article found on the internet with no author and a very small, obviously modified picture (that has been photochopped, or at least purposefully cropped, and could have been taken at any construction site around the world) just a little fishy?

I am all for this being true, but can you blame me for wanting a little more authenticity?

WOW!!!!

I did read in Popular Mechanics that the military is developing a new light armored vehicle to replace the Hummer that is using the F-350 chassis and the Powerstroke engine. It's weird looking but apparently the seating configuration which is set up kind of like this (see below) help reduce impact caused by roadside bombs.

The arrows denote the way the occupants face. It had like a dome-like crew area. Pretty neat.

I also hate to be a cynic but having been to Iraq twice, and I actually dispose of the roadside bombs there, I must comment. This guy was nothing but lucky, I have seen these IED's cut through armored vehicles and if his truck survived, believe me, it was pure dumb luck.
