Dreamtech BA Falcon coupe


I always thought the BA Falcons looked like the previous generation Nissan Maxima in profile and from the rear, but this coupe looks 100% better....

 

I like it, but I’d prefer the 4-door. Has a Holden/GTO ‘feel’ to it, but it also would have been a nice replacement after the 1997 Thunderbird. Well maybe not replacement . . . . maybe a refresh.

 

It looks like they just welded the rear door. Making a 2 door requires more than that..you really need to move the b-pillar and make the rear quarter window smaller. I could be wrong at how they did it..but something looks kinda off (not exactly sure what it is though)

A for effort though!

yeah I saw that..still looks odd..I still think that rear window is wayu to big..The car still looks like a 4 door..were as the Manaro doesn't. I really think to do this right the car needs either Major reworking or to be designed from the get go as a 2 door.

but like I said A for effort.

 

you're right Doug, that rear window does look too big for a coupe. and the windows in general seem too big imo... looks to be almost half way down the side (50% window-50% body)

 

The T-Birds (1997 in picture) had a pretty big rear window as well . .

 

I think you guys are used to seeing the "low top - tall body" theme that is in vogue currently. An extreme example of this is the current Chrysler 300...

This Falcon coupe looks like the previous "low body, tall top" theme from the '90s. Heres the Falcon coupe compared to the old MN-12 T-bird:

 

well you guys are probably right...but I still think it looks like a 4 door with e filed in back door seam. I've thought eh same thing of the tbird though so maybe I'm just a picky bastard
I just think the GTO/Manaro is a far better 2door than a converted 4door. Not trying to rain on your parades guys... I do like the car.. I just think it could be better. But better I'm sure would mean more expensive.

 

Ok I did these just for kicks.
I did some minor (well minor in photoshop) reshaping to the car to show you proportions that I think look better.

Take it for what it's worth.


Oh and one with a ducktail just for giggles.

Anyway you guys know I'm one of the biggest falcon fans on the planet so I'm all for a falcon in any form.

I'm with Chris. Since there's no more muscle sedan (formerly the Maurader), I'd rather see the Falcon with 4 doors. OK, having a kid has something to do with that.
