Aston Sold . . . Pt.II to Prodrive

Seems to make much more sense than the Louis rumor.

I just don't know what to think about this... it seems like a waste to me to sell a company for the less then a billion, when Ford loses that much multiple times a year. I guess they need to ofset taht loss but sucks having to loss somthing that makes money rather then cash taht just gains the interest.... even though a billion in cash with 5% intrest makes 50 million a year.

Hope Prodrive can handle the business side of the company.

Well at least the company is in the hands of enthusiasts and not some rich moron who will run it into the ground

Thank God the other rumor isn't true.

Prodrive will at least make Aston Martin street cars fast in comparison to others in their class, instead of the road cars being only luxury based.

This opens another interesting possibility down the road: in a few years, should Ford find itself profitable and flush with cash again, it could buy into Prodrive the same way DCX bought into McClaren. Wouldn't that just make your day!
