Overall, I really like this, has a certain luxurious and sophisticated look and feel to it. Love the minor homages to various Conti's of yore.
Now my (minor) quibbles: those wheels and the new grille direction. I actually like the current split wing on the MKZ, very unique vs this new iteration is so generic and appears to be mish mash of Jag, Bentley, and Kia.
So I guess we can say goodbye MKS and welcome back Continental! So does this mean LMC is reverting back to real names? Hmmm interesting........glad to see since they revamped their showrooms and then updated the MKZ, LMC has been on quite a roll.

Audi S8 clone without the power or the standard AWD.
And what's with all of the chromed plastic in the interior? That's as tacky looking as simulated wood.

Seems like a Bentley designer thought so too. http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars...ental-concept/
That last sentence is what crushes me though...the RWD platform has been axed

Yeah, Lexus is "special". Lol. I guess they just didn't want to put the money into developing a RWD platform. Even though they could have based the next mustang, and two sedans off of it.

I agree. I suppose Ford is content with Lincoln going after the FWD Lexus, Acura and AWD Audis. That is a big chunk of the market, so it makes sense. But the enthusiast in U.S. would like to see some RWD Lincolns that aren't Navigators, right? Still, I'm not sure how successful they would be, as much as we want them...the LS didn't work out too well. Lincoln only used RWD in the past, because that's just what everyone did...the Town Car doesn't really count because the Panther platform was one of those automotive anomalies that will never be repeated.

Yeah, well, get this, I like the Continental better than the Bentley in front. Matter of fact, I like the whole exterior better than the Bentley, so... what do you have to say about that, Bentley? Might wanna seal a cue from the Continental up there for your car.
Just sayin'.

Loved the design, until today Bentley just made everyone check how similar the design is to their car. Side profile lines and roof with windows look so similar I just cant tell someone with a straight face that its an "original" looking design.
Should of went with this type of a profile:
Would of been the best gangster ride ever.
Buick should build that the Avenir Concept to counter this and the CT6 from Cadillac, Avenir is to me a much better designed luxury car with better personality then the Continental.

He was rebranding Lincoln and designed this large sedan. He had another design that was closer but he went with this.

CT6 and the Continental prove to me that the companies still dont have enough ***** to make a really daring high budget designed car , specially shameful of Cadillac of not using 2 of their amazing concepts.
They are just doing what Europeans are doing, 3-5 types of cars that look exactly the same, from small to really big.

when i see a big square lincoln i think "the Car". Big and mean. Blacked out windows and a grill that send shivers up your spine when you see it in your mirror lol.
I hope they go that way a little bit again
