This cars needs to get at least 45 mpg hwy.

A 10% improvement over the larger car seems reasonable. What were the specs on the 1.6 for power and fuel economy?

120 hp, 29/37 mpg I believe.

I'm replacing my 07 Fusion SEL & my 07 Mustang GT in 2 years when I retire & the Ford Fiesta is @ the top of my list right now.

Fiesta ST will have 197hp/214tq and still manage 34mpg. Awesome.

If they offer the HIDs on the Fiesta ST, I might look at one of these as a new DD! I like the Focus, but the power/weight on the Fiesta might be more compelling...

A little more refined looking, if a touch less "soulfull," if I may throw out that term, than the current design. The Fiesta desperately needs an ST varient to give it the street cred it needs.
