So? I already have a Mustang . . .
EDIT:
(I am not trying to be confrontational. Didn't want you or anyone else to think there was a "tone" to my response. ) I may not even like the car when I finally get to sit behind the wheel. However, it seems to fit the bill (for me) as a daily driver quite nicely . . .

the thing about prices that I try to remember:
yeah, I built a B-A 26,000 focus.... but a similarly equipped (minus drive train of course) v6 Mustang would come in at 30,000 easily. I could buy a stipper focus for 16,999. options is where they get ya.

Man, Focus is pricey now ... $18,000 for a base hatchback?
I remember when dealers used to advertise a base Focus hatchback for as little as $11,000-$12,000.

Yeah, I got a fully loaded hatchback upto $27,420. Thats more than my '05 Stang sticker price. Crazy, but all car prices have gone up.

However, (again since we are all guessing and not one of the posters in this thread has driven a 2012 Focus) I bet the average selling price of a Focus (not including ST) will be ~$22,xxx.xx. Which doesn't seem too bad in my opinion if the level of detail/fit-n-finish is as good as predicted . . . .

I'm thinking a base titanium is the best deal for what you get. Mytouch, pushbutton start ,leather, decent wheels, and color choices... adding all of the cool options after that really makes the price skyrocket. moonroof, nav, two tone interior, etc... nav might be worth it for only another $750

I do not disagree that the car is worth it. I just remember when the focus first came out you could get one for around 9500 for a hatch. I was in 10th grade and I thought is was ugly as hell but you could get it in a stick which my taurus was not.
