2011 SuperDuty

http://www.autoblog.com/2009/09/24/2...h-two-new-eng/

The new Super Duty debuts with a new look, new diesel engine called "Scorpion" 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8, and an all-new 6.2-liter gas-powered V8. Ford has still not released power figures for either engine, but the Power Stroke diesel does have the ability to run on B20 biodiesel.

Nice catch, Red Star. It looks badass; couple that with the "Scorpion," and I believe Ford has a winner!

I like the new fender vent and how they changed the hood to a clam shell type incorporating the tops of the fenders into the hood and moving the break line to the bodyside along the feature line that runs the length of the sides. The interior hasn't changed much, the seats look nicer with the adjustable head rests, the Gauges look clearer and easier to read, and the HVAC/Audio part of the center stack trim looks to be a separate piece now. I'm not sure about the "Parentheses " around the 2 bars in the grill though..

that grill looks horrid, but the rest of the truck looks fantastic! Wonder if a 2010 tri bar grill would fit...

Since the entire hood changed...I'm guessing no.

The 6.4 is rated at 350hp@3000 650tq@2000
I heard the 6.7 will be well in the 400hp range and well in the 700tq range. No official numbers but that's what we are going to expect. I can't wait, its going to be awesome.
I have a feeling this will be a great engine. Good for customers, not for us who work on them lol. Not the godsent 6.0 we all love.

I heard the Scorpion is putting out 800ft/lbs of torque. Test trucks have been breaking and bending drive shafts.

So why exactly 5.4L is not the base engine?

Because the 5.4L is on the way out of the proverbial door.

While that may be true for their test mules, I seriously doubt Ford would make that big of a leap in terms of torque output. I could definitely see a jump from the current 650 to ~690-700 lb-ft, but an extra 150 lb-ft all at once wouldn't leave much room on the table for future output bumps, IMO.

800 will be no sweat, but commercially at least we know 700tq range guaranteed.

I'm guessing 450hp 750tq for f250/350. 425hp 700tq for F450/550
No that's not backwards.
