TCC's daily edition says that while rumor had it that the Freestyle would be passed over to Mercury in 2008, Ford planners have now decided to keep the car and give it its hard earned restyling and cyclone injection.

I'm just wondering, if the edge gets the cyclone, shouldn't this guy get something with a tiny bit more juice? With the freestyle sticking around, i guess i can see how the crossover lineup works. So you got your regular SUVs, the expedition, explorer, escape (or is the escape a CUV? its car based...), and then you've got crossovers slotted above (freestyle) and below (edge) the explorer.

I hope it looks just like this chop!

Needs two more bars in the lower intake-as it is a car and should match the Edge/Fusion. That probably is a very realistic look at what they are going to do. The 500 with its round greenhouse may be a little trickier. My bet is the roofline gets redone like the S80/MKS to work in the edge look. They are all platform sisters.

i always liked the freestyle for what it was, but didnt like the 3.0 engine, if the face lift looks anything like this and it gets the 3.5, it will be between this and the edge for my next family hauler
