Ford Mustang shift boot
I have a 2008 manual mustang gt and I want to install a after market shift boot but I don't know what size I should use it has a universal fitment option but I'm not sure if that's it or not and would like some help figuring it out

I had gone down an ugly road with an aftermarket shift boot. Both in the color I expected and fitment. Thats just me though. Consider, if you find a decent local upholstrey shop, they will likely be able to do a nice one off custom job for you. You may also want to consider a matching ebrake boot.

My apologies for not addressing the initial question. it was said to be universal. I had trouble with fitment around the actual shifter at the boots smallest point.

I understand everyone has different experiences with different companies. For me, Redline is the one I had major issues with.

+1 That's why I posted the link to AM. I bought several items from Redline and none of them fit well at all. Also they sent me an arm rest cover that I had paid for the padding on, the one I received wasn't padded. When I contacted them they said I what I paid didn't include padding, so I went through the order process again and saved screen captures of the prices proving that I had paid for it. They were so screwed up they couldn't tell by the price that I had paid for it. Then they told me I had to cut the unpadded one in half and send them a picture proving I had done it before they would send me the padded one. Then it took almost two months to receive the padded one. I would not buy from them again.

I'm actually looking at one from a different company called infocusclothing.com and they have a universal fit that slides over the top Its a Tiffany blue that will go with interior lights that I'm getting

My Redline products are sitting in a bag. Never made it on the car, and got tired of arguing with them over the return. They wanted me to use a zip tie to secure the shift boot,

Well, I ordered from them about 2007 when my factory boot was given a hole by the Pro 5.0 shifter. It was not a perfect color match, but that was made up with black boot polish. With a little wrangling it installed fine and has lasted since then. But that was almost 8 years ago, they may have gone downhill since that time.
