with any luck the diesel/hybrid options might keep this thing alive long enough for Ford to pull through.

I dont know... I think Ford should have focused more on making a small car than re-making another monster. SUV and truck sales are going down, and it's not because they are ugly or because there isnt enough or because theyre not working, it's because people want a smaller car and better mpg. I just think a smaller car would help Ford a lot more at this point.

Well now that Martens is gone they seem to be focusing better on cars, if MT is to be believed.

i kind of like the look of the previous expedition though. But yeah making beter CARS is what ford needs to worry about right now. although it is simple. THere are a lot of vehicles in australia and europe that just need to be sold here, and pull ford out of the dumpster. The Ka, the new Mondeo, THe falcon, euro focus, the s-max. all great automobiles. but instead we get 500's and fusions and rental cars. not saying the 500 or fusion are bad. but dont have that same feel as the european cars. since people love buying imports now

or bring back the turbo 4cyl mustang, direct injection, cheap niterior, rear drive. maybe a thought for a more fuel efficient stang. since they sell really well anyway. ok i am sorry

I'm sure the redesign of the Expedition has been in product plan for some time, probably long before SUV sales tanked.
