I'd actually say i prefer the current one to this, so I'm hoping when the American one gets revised (for 2008 is it?) it won't look like this one very much.
It looks to me like Australia's current gen escape is actually the first gen one we had, without those sweet clear headlight lenses:



So maybe they're on a bit of a different product cycle from us.

oh ya for sure... in fact the autoblog article pokes fun at that. Saying this is the Ford Escape for the Outback.... meaning the desert in australia, but referring to the other car by subaru.

The new Aussie Escape is the same as what they have had in Taiwan for a couple years... The US Escape is going to look much different with it's next redesign...
