Weird Clutch Symptom

For the record: Bone stock car. Original clutch, 116k miles.

If I go WOT then shift hard 1-2 or 2-3 ill have about 2-3 inches of play in the clutch pedal when in gear until I shut the car off and restart it again. Anybody have a suggestion? Is this maybe normal operating or am I about to tear up my clutch? My dad's 01 Bullitt doesn't do it, niether has any manual shift car i've ever owned.

My 2000 F-150 did the same thing until the slave cylinder blew up in it. I'd check to see if your slave cylinder is topped up (sits to the left of your brake booster I believe). If its good, probably time for a new clutch.
