VIN locations?

Would really appreciate any information on VIN locations on a 1997 Mustang. It's been painted, i pulled both front fenders because i was told the vin was on a tag on the inner fenders, no numbers. Got a number off the transmission, according to a friend it's a 3.8L, but it has a 4.6. Possibley stolen, repainted, and new VIN tag.

Look at the bottom right of your windshield from the outside of the car that's where mine is on my 94

Not possible for a 3.8 tranny to give a vin # for 4.6 . Look at the windshield or title for the #s then do a car fax is your best bet

From: That town you drive through to get to Myrtle Beach
It may be on the door label on the inside of the driver door jamb.
