Yea, Spec recommends a 500 mile break in period of mostly city driving. I finished everything up about 11:00 pm Sunday. Everything is working great. The clutch is much smoother than the stock unit ever was. Also, It is taking a little getting used to, as it lets out a little lower to the floor.

Turns out that the pressure plate was busted. Though I am not sure how. Some of the teeth on the pressure plate had almost no resistance on them and weren't even with the others (probably what made the throw out bearing go bad). Also, I spun the throw out bearing after removing it and it sounded like a hot wheels car racing across a concrete floor.

This was deffinately a fun experiene with the exception of getting the two top bolts that hold the transmission on, and getting the pilot bearing out. This was the most involved project I've undertaken and it worked out great.

Working on our cars is another part of the hobby. I also enjoy it as much as driving it, well maybe not as much, but I like tooling with it

Wanted to ask another question. When we had everything back together we were trying to put the driveshaft back in, and it would only go in about 1.5 inches before stopping. We could not figure out why. So we gave up for a while and put oil back in the car and cranked it up and pumped the clutch to make sure everything was fine there. Then after turning the engine back off we tried the driveshaft again and it slipped in without any fuse. So, what was stopping it, and why did it just slip in at the end?

Sigh.... the check engine light just came on this afternoon. Given that it has been four days since it was apart it shouldn't be anything that I did over the weekend, should it?

Maybe you left something unplugged or loose. Take it to an Autozone to get it scanned for free so you get an idea where to look for the problem.

Turns out its an O2 sensor in the exhaust. What if any complications can this cause?

The only thing it'll cause is that your ECM will keep running in open loop and waste more fuel in the process.

I did a little reasearch and it turns out that it was one of the back ones that just keeps tabs on the catalytic converter. So, I was thinking I would just leave it alone for a while when this afternoon I crank up the car and the check engine light is off.

I was like .
