OK, so I want new tires for the cobra...275/40R17 on the front and 315 on the back...I want drag radials on the back, and good street tires on the front...so what brand should I go with? If anyone can just give me some good advice, what to look for, what the prices should be, ect., then I would greatly appreciate it...thanks!

 

I was recomennded to get Nitto's. The price was good, and the tires so far have been great. I didn't go true drags on the back -- it's a daily driver.

However, there are several flavors of the Nitto 555's to look at. Streetable on the front, and drags for the back. Both have similiar tread patterns as well.

 

The Nitto drag radials are acctually very streetable and work well in turns and straight line. Expect to get about 15k miles out of them TOPS.

I highly recommend Nittos.

 

my 315 nitto drag radials lasted <6000 miles. I never even spun them, except a little at the strip. to my knowledge, the only 315's you can put on the stock rim are the nitto 555R drag radials, as they run smaller than most 315's
