throttle body help

what would be a good size for an aftermarket throttle body? 65mm, 70mm, or 75mm?

They say 70mm if you plan on staying n/a and 75mm for f/i.

What other mods do you have? On the 4.6L, aftermarket throttle bodies didnt help much unless you had all teh other bolt on's included (CAI, pullies, tune, exhaust, etc). Honestly i wouldnt dump my money into it, put your money elsewhere.

I've always heard that the biggest restriction in the intake assembly is the plenum. I'd look into one of thosebefore a throttlebody. maybe even go for that bbk throttlebody/elbow combo piece

Trickflow sells a decent combo with a new upper plenum elbow with a 70mm TB. That has been shown to give a ~12 hp gain. 75mm is a little large for a N/A application and is not worth any additional HP.

ive got long tube headers, H-Pipe, High Flow Cats, Cat-Back. i was going to start working on the intake side now. starting with the CAI and TB and Plenum... they all go! lol pullies will probably come later.

i just looked at that combo piece. it looks pretty sweet. i 78mm is kinda big though, but it saves money, adds power, and looks nice!

**** economy. I said this a year and a half ago. Just ordered the bbk 78mm throttle body today. Lol. But now she's got a tune, 3.73s, touch screen stereo, new calipers/pads... It's funny how time flies.

No sir, no you don't. But I recommend one. I made 20whp and 30wtq off a tune.
