On straight pipes.? Keeping the cats just a muffler delete. Bad for the motor? increase or decrease in power?

probably a minimal increase in power.

Honestly, I wouldnt do it. It's going to be brutally loud. Mine is pretty loud, and everyone thinks I'm flooring it when I rev it to 2500rpm.

I have high flow cats with borla stinger s-types and e eryone says my car sounds perfect. Not too loud but definitely sound like its got power. High flow cats r a good start cuz our gen mustangs come with a solid H pipe. If its not enough for ya then hit Mac longtubes and youll be set

That o/r h is why your so loud. In my truck which is also a 4.6, albiet an underpowered one bc its a 97, I cut the muffler off and left the cats and its very mild sounding to me. At idle you can barely tell a difference and it gives a nice sound when accelerating. Its not going to really do much in terms of power but its not all that loud.

My buddy also cut is mufflers out on his 96 and it wasn't bad on that either. Poor mans exhaust I always say

I'm trying to figure out my exhaust setup on somewhere between longtubes catless h pipe and muffs or shortys stock mid if possible and straight pipes
