Tech: Auto Trans Help Needed

Help! I'm hoping someone who knows auto transmissions can help.

Our 94 Mustang GT suddenly started delaying the shift from 1st to 2nd. Sometimes NOT shifitng and hitting the rev limiter. The car is not throwing any codes. Maybe it's a solenoid or something?

I replaced the speed sensor - no change. I dropped the pan to replace the filter and fluid. But I got to thinking that would be a waste. If I knew what to look for, maybe I could save myself some big bucks.

Not sure which trans it is, the code on the door says "PLK66" if I read it correctly.

Any help greatly appreciated.

a 1994 will have the AODE try changing the fluid mostof the time it's not a waste because he fluid breaks down just like any other oil. I'm not sure if the AODE has a vacum modulator on it or not but if it does then that could be your problem. Or it might just be that the fluid is low
